Set Up Your First Project

Your step-by-step guide to building your first working tool with Kulp ; from idea to live preview. You don’t need to install anything or configure complicated settings. With Kulp, your first project starts with just an idea and gets built in minutes. This guide will walk you through your first time inside Kulp, what to expect, and how to get to your first “aha!” moment.

Before You Begin

Here’s what you need:

  • A clear idea of what you want to build (even just one sentence)

  • 5-10 minutes of focused time

  • (Optional) A quiet space if you want to use voice prompts

Step 1: Start a New Project

  1. Log in to your Kulp dashboard

  2. You’ll be taken to the Prompt Input screen

Step 2: Enter Your Prompt (Text or Voice)

This is where you tell Kulp what to build.

You can either:

  • Type a simple instruction

    Example: “Build a tool to track sales leads with login and dashboard.”

  • Or click the microphone icon to speak your idea aloud

Don’t overthink it - use plain language like you're talking to a colleague.

Step 3: Enhance Your Prompt

After you enter your prompt, click “Enhance Prompt.”

Kulp will:

  • Add clarity and structure to your input

  • Suggest adjustments to make it build-ready

You’ll have a chance to review and confirm the final version before moving on.

Step 4: Choose Features

Kulp will now show you recommended features based on your prompt.

You can:

  • Select features like login, forms, dashboards, payments, etc.

  • Add your own custom features if needed

  • Skip anything you don’t need yet

You’re in full control - build as little or as much as you want.

Step 5: Review Your Build Plan

Next, Kulp generates a Build Plan for your project.

You’ll see:

  • A list of modules (each one is a step like “Create Login System” or “Build Dashboard”)

  • Buttons to generate each part when you’re ready

  • The overall flow of how your app will come together

Think of this as your to-do list but powered by AI.

Step 6: Start Building

Click “Start Building” on the first step of your Build Plan.

Kulp will:

  • Write the code behind the scenes

  • Build the interface

  • Show a visual preview of your feature

Continue through the rest of your steps, one module at a time.

Step 7: Preview Your Tool

Once your first feature is built, you’ll see a live preview of your app appear.

  • You can interact with it like a real app (click, type, submit)

  • Each new feature you generate will update the preview

  • You can switch between preview and plan at any time

This is your first real software - live in front of you.

Make Changes or Fix Issues

  • Didn’t like something? Just type in the chat box and kulp will change it for you

  • Hit an error? Use the “Fix the issue” button

  • Want more features? Add to your plan at any time

From here, you can:

  • Keep building more features

  • Connect services like Supabase or Stripe

  • Make it live with a single click
